A2 over XD

so, its over. the cambridge a-level exams that has been bothering me for the past 18 months has been officially registered in my history of exams and study and exams. and for most people, they would feel a huge sense of relief and joy after they were forced to put down their pen for the final time. they would go something like

"YES!!! WOOHOO!! YEAH!! LETS GO BURN BOOKS! FFUUUUUUYYYOOOOOOHHHH!!!"

not for me.

i'd been expecting that too. but quite very unfortunately, it didn't come. so the consequence of that doom and gloom that refuses to pass away is this exceptionally dull article. (i warned u)

what came for me was the sense of burden. sense of lost. lost of sight of what is to come next. ever since birth   our path in education is set by the ministry of education and also our parents. even after spm there is a very wide spec of choices for pre-u courses, for local and overseas studies. what we can't see is beyond pre-u. certainly our parents have more or less kept an eye on our education throughout our lives. and have constantly gave advice and even made decisions for us. but after pre-u we are practically on our own, with only advices by seniors who have walked the same paths to guide us. we can no longer hope that somebody else is there to make the right choice for us, to carry the responsibility that is going to shape our future.

we have to do it ourselves.

so on that happy note i conclude that we now have to shoulder our own responsibilities over our education and shape our own future.

remember.

hope for the best, but prepare for the worst;
shoot for the moon and even if you miss, you'll still be among the stars
